I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling and Psychotherapies. The mother–baby relationship, parenting and sexuality have guided my professional development and further training.
Throughout this time, I have sought to deepen my understanding of parent–child relationships and the different stages of child development. My interest in sexuality also took me to Tavistock Relationships in London, where I undertook specialist training in Psychosexual Therapy. I am continuing my training in Relational Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in Madrid.
Choosing a practitioner means considering the possibility of talking about yourself with someone you do not yet know. I aim to offer a welcoming space for dialogue, attentive to each person’s experience and the time they need to share it.
I offer psychotherapy to people of all ages, as well as parenting consultations and Babygrow, a consultation focusing on a woman’s experience of motherhood. In child psychotherapy, my work with the child also involves the parents. Parenting consultations are a separate service for parents.
I offer sessions in Portuguese and English, in person in Carcavelos and online.
