A space to reflect on your relationship with your children
Parenting can bring doubts, tensions and feelings that are difficult to share. Parenting consultations offer a space to reflect on these experiences and better understand what is happening in your relationship with your children.
Sessions with Filipa Neves may be attended by one or both parents. The work takes account of each family’s experience and the specific questions that lead them to seek support.
What we can explore
Communication between parents and children, and everyday conflicts.
The expectations and demands associated with parenting.
Differences between parents in how they raise and relate to their children.
Questions that arise during transitions and new stages of growing up.
Tiredness, loneliness and the pressure to live up to an ideal of parenthood.
We seek to understand what is happening and think about responses that make sense for your family. Parenting consultations can include one-off sessions to explore specific concerns.

Who attends the sessions
Parenting consultations are for parents. When a child takes part in ongoing therapeutic work, this is child psychotherapy, which is a separate service.
Child psychotherapy focuses on one child and also involves the parents. Their involvement is part of the ongoing therapeutic process, rather than a parenting consultation with the child present.
Practical information
Sessions last 60 minutes and cost €100 each. They are available in person or online, in Portuguese and English. Parenting consultations can include one-off sessions and do not carry the minimum weekly frequency required for psychotherapy.
